This organic matcha is grown on family-run gardens in Japan and produced from the spring harvest, when the tea plants are at their finest. Before picking, the plants are shaded for three weeks to increase L-theanine, the naturally occurring amino acid responsible for matcha's distinctive sweetness and gentle mood lift.
Carefully stone-milled into an exceptionally fine powder, it whisks into a vibrant green froth with ease. Expect notes of sweet green tea, Japanese rice, nuttiness and cocoa butter, with a rich, creamy texture.
