A Sustainable Hagen Project

Hagen aspires to deliver a sustainable & premium specialty coffee experience through a mix of collaborations with stakeholders, communities and home-grown projects.

Our Goals

We work tirelessly to ensure that our business benefits local residents by crafting a unique and socially-driven sense of community within our stores. We want the cosy, comfortable nature of Danish hygge to lie at the heart of every interaction at Hagen.

Despite always striving to limit our impact on the environment, we are progressively looking to further decrease our carbon footprint and promote sustainable economic and social growth within our spaces. We have always recognised that our responsibility to the environment far exceeds those placed on us by legal or regulatory requirements.

In the future, we hope to continue to expand and enact positive social and environmental change as we do.

More Coffee. More Happiness. More Hygge. More Hagen.

  • Suppliers

    • Direct trading with coffee farmers in Mexico, El Olmo, in collaborations with Copenhagen Food Collective; to our Himalayan Coffee project where we work with 1000 farmers - with all proceeds from the sales of our coffee reinvested into the Tapeljun local communities driving C02 reducing projects via better processing equipment - alongside the Danish charity the Human Practice Project.

    • Limiting our suppliers to UK based suppliers where possible

  • Design and Fit-Out:

    • Bar design and fit outs are done with repurposing and preservation of existing materials in mind. Anchoring our sustainable operations from the start to the daily service
