Himalayan Speciality Coffee

A Hagen Project: Himalayan Speciality Coffee

We are pleased to share that we are finally ready to introduce our Himalayan speciality coffee project to the world. We are helping to establish sustainable production of speciality coffee by directly trading with a community of 1000 farmers in Nepal. 100% of sales proceeds goes directly back to the farmers and the community of over 3500 individuals. In partnership with the Danish charity, The Human Practice Foundation, we are proud to present this model of uncut charity and direct trade.

2023 is a special year for the Himalayan Specialty Coffee. It marks, in fact, the 70th anniversary of the pioneering triumph that saw Mount Everest conquered for the very first time.

Our local partner, speciality coffee operator extraordinaire and friend in Nepal is called Tenzing. Tenzing comes from a long proud line of sherpas. His grandfather, was also named Tenzing - he is the 4th person from the left in the picture, which shows some of the team who took part in the first summiting of Mount Everest with Edmund Hillary.
